Jacksonville Florida Government Criminal Justice Substance Abuse Program
Jacksonville Florida Government Criminal Justice Substance Abuse Program The Social Services Division funds contracted services for chemically dependent adults within the Duval County correctional system. The Criminal Justice Substance Abuse Program (CJSAP) provides licensed substance abuse prevention and intervention services to the general adult inmate population; it also includes a specialized four-month, 135 bed intensive substance abuse treatment unit for chemically dependent male and female inmates within the Community Transition Center of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Community-based continuing care (aftercare) services, including case management and other supportive services, are available for up to one year following release from the intensive treatment unit. These jail-based services are currently operated by River Region Human Services, Inc.
