Hernando County Florida Government Overdose Prevention On average 15 Floridians a day die of drug overdoses. Hernando County is responding with OD2A. The goal of OD2A is to enhance overdose surveillance to develop data informed overdose prevention activities. OD2A is currently funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Overdose Data to Action cooperative agreement. Overdose prevention activities such as the distribution of Narcan(Naloxone) at DOH-Hernando will help to make the difference, one resident at a time.
